It's all about our Alpha Course!

Did you know that Alpha is run all around the world and it is one of the most famous courses attended by both young and old? Every state in the US runs at least one course. Now Covina California has one of their vey own!

Our Alpha Course is typically run in the Spring and Fall of each year. So if you miss the Spring, you can join us for the Fall! Spring Session typically starts around April, and the Fall Session starts around September.

We initially started running this course in the Fall of 2008 and since then we have been blessed to change many lives and make loads of new friendships with those who attend! We have recently condensed the course to 8-sessions instead of the 10-sessions, but we cover all the material that Alpha carries.

Our course is attended by people of various backgrounds, walks of life, ethnic groups and age groups. We have people attending not only from Covina, but from various other cities around. Our guests' ages range from 18yrs to as 'young' as 80years!  An average course has around 20-30 attendees broken down into small group settings of 8 people. While some who attend are Christians, many are totally new to the Christian faith. Some attend mainly to get answers to the 'Questions of Life'.

We start the typical course day by just catching up with everyone in our groups about our week at work, kids, hobbies, weather, etc. disussing and supporting eachother on anything such as issues we are facing currently in life, to the vacation we went on recently! We are then served a yummy irresistible buffet style dinner (the menu vary every week and the cost is FREE!). After dinner, we listen to a 40 minute Video talk on one of the Alpha topics, and then proceed to enjoy a delicious desert with coffee while we prepare to discuss the topic in our small group setting.

During the 8 weeks, we learn, understand and find answers to many questions we probably have not explored before, while we also take away the friendships we have made and lessons learned from the lives of others in our groups.  Most of us stay in touch with eachother even after the course has ended while some groups regularly meet up to catch up with eachother.

This course is popular among many because it is very low key, non-threatening, friendly and fun. Also you get to ask any question you have with no restrictions and make great friendships at the end!  To top it all up, the real icing to the cake are the delicious meals served every week!!!!!!! We can assure you that you can't beat our home made food menu !
